A Beautiful Christmas Eve Morn

We have had quite the winter’s storm these last two days.  I snapped this as I pulled into work.  It was an awesome moment in the quietness of the morning.

Then I got this one as it was shining behind the Church steeple

I wish I knew how to use Photoshop.  Could you imagine how wonderful these shots and the Challenge Photos could look with just a little enhancement?

Tomorrows the big day!  I have asked Santa for a better new year.  I sure hope I, WE, get it.

note:  After I got home I tweaked the above photo if you care to see click here.

  1. What a beautiful setting! I totally envy you the snow. Hot chocolate just isn’t the same without it.

I nominated you for the 7×7 blogging award! You have a fantastic site, I always love visiting. Please don’t feel obligated to pass it along unless you want to, since I know it can be time consuming. Merry Christmas!

  3. Though photoshop does do some cool things, I don’t think you could capture anything more beautifully than those natural shots. What a fantastic pair of photos. Love it! They are great….Merry Christmas!

  4. The little building on the right of church is a small, and I can’t stress S M A L L enough, Wild Bird Store. All of this is located in Cloudcroft, NM a very tiny village full of wonderful people and forest. I have this love hate relationship with it. Every time I think I want to run away to the big city I find myself on another adventure up here and forget about running.

  5. I was 14 and can only remember going to some bat caves. I most certainly remember the smell. Maybe one day I will get out there again. I would love to take my kids on some “traveling” vacations….instead of a beach or theme park vacation.

  6. It sounds like you had a whirl-wind tour of the southern half of NM. That bat cave is in Carlsbad and it the most awesome place on earth, at least that is what Daughter says. White Sands is in Alamogordo and I am on top of that big old mountain you see to the east. A traveling vacation sounds fantastic! If you guys come through here let me know. I know of a couple of other cool things to see while here.
